Somewhere in the middle of a giant Globetrotter in Cologne, I (Cami) decided to start a Travel blog and share my stories, experiences and tips with other passionate travelers as we search inspiration for our next escapes.
We have so far extensively explored Europe and Asia with many stays in North America, Pacific and Africa. I travel quite a bit, partly due to my job for an international organisation, but mostly for leisure. We are now based in Belgium but both me and Mr. are originally from different European countries, which adds to the yearly traveling mix. We travel as a couple, I travel with friends and sometimes solo. We embrace any opportunity to discover a new place and culture. Furthermore, since 3 years now, our travelling tribe increased from two to three and now to four explorers. We have now an additional travel formula (‘baby in tow’) and an incentive to share our wanderlust with the baby and toddler members of the party. Our children have been on tens of flights and between ourselves we visited more than 65 countries on all continents except Antarctica ( on my bucket list 🙂 ).
We are not really budget travelers (even less so since little explorers joined the travelling tribe) but we are budget-conscious. We consistently try to get our money’s worth and are always interested in good deals and charming accommodations and ready to share these tips with other travelers. We will always choose a nice B&B or home stay over a bland four star hotel. We do like to experience local events and especially food as much as possible. We are not very much focused on the all-inclusive types of holidays or cruises. This being said, we are open to try different styles of travel and mixing up several accommodations styles as our travelling objectives change depending on the travel formula, season and sometimes location. You should try everything once, I guess!
Except for the actual traveling, I spend part of my free time learning things (anything, really, from foreign languages to yoga to using the new camera and video editing ) and, of course, planning out the next trips (my husband calls that “controlling”, I just call it being a perfectionist :)).
This travelogue and namesake YouTube channel ( which you should definitely subscribe to if you are a travel loving family) is our way of connecting with friends at home and inspiring other families to explore the world. Hope you find our tips and ideas useful when you plan that next (solo/couple or family) escape! Do not hesitate to get in contact by leaving us a message or question on our YouTube channel comments section.
Looking forward to connect and Happy travels!
