It is a pleasure to walk around Lisbon downtown. There are great things to discover any every turn and some really wonderful family activities like the ones we described here. Its most visited musem lies however in the East of the city, in the Parque das Nacoes, the former grounds of the Expo 98. It is the largest indoor aquarium in Europe!
The wildlife collection totals some 450 species and covers four climate zones, from temperate waters to tropical ocean and arctic. The central tank has 5 MILLION liters of water. The are several sharks and a very sulky sun fish that bring cries of excitement from all visitors, young and old.
Outside the Lisbon Oceanarium, a cable cart takes you up above the river. It is a great way to get a perspective on the Oceanarium and the river from above. A combined ticket with the Oceanarium is 23 euros and definitely worth considering to round up a half a day of exciting explorations in Lisbon.

Safe travels!
