Lisbon is one of our favourite destinations in South Europe, especially in Summer. Every time we visit Lisbon, we keep discovering new lovely spots and restaurants. Our latest trip from August took us to three sweeping viewpoints, some very relaxed squares and a Remodelado tram in our first 24 hours. If you are following the blog, you probably know that we also found some great food to fuel our Lisbon tour with the kids.
We chose to stay in an AirBnB close to the Parc Eduardo VII. It is close enough to the main attractions but a bit less crammed than the old buildings in Chiado and Alfama. Parque Eduardo VII has one of the best viewpoints in the city.
The tram themed playground in Praca was Amoreiras followed by a trip with Remodelado tram no 12 making its way though the old Alfama neighbourhood in Lisbon and passing inches away from the buildings was a highlight for the kids. And of course a sweet treat in the form of a custard tart or Pastel de Nata.
Lisbon is really a perfect destination with kids! For more on what to see, do and eat with the kids, have a look at our short video and leave us a comment if you have any questions.
Have you visited Lisbon?
Safe travels! CGK
